Playford Ros have arranged a series of tasting events, as well as working with selected venues to provide a variety of wine dinners. The events are hosted by winemakers (where possible) and our team at Playford Ros, providing you the opportunity to gain advice and sample the wines with the experts.

The name Irvine represents a number of things: a super premium wine brand, a wine consultancy, a gorgeous vineyard in Eden Valley, South Australia and above all a grand experience in wine. This Irvine approach has not come overnight! Winemaking experience covers nearly forty years; with Hardy's Siegersdorf, Krondorf, normans and Lakewood, each having sparkling wines and premium table wine production involved in their overall winemaking. The Eden Valley is a region of rugged beauty. Its cool climate provides ideal conditions for the production of high quality and elegant wine. With Jim Irvine this quality is very much illustrated in his full range of wines, including: Merlot; Zinfandel; Shiraz; Chardonnay; Pinot Gris; and riesling. The wines have a vitality of style and with pushing the boundaries a little, with Zinfandel and Albarino particularly, jim is keen to show what this part of Australia is truly capable of. Actor Fess Parker has been called by some an American icon. his portrayal of frontiersmen Davy Crocket and Daniel Boone impacted millions of young viewers in the late 1950's and 60's. In 1987, parker purchased a 714 acre rance thirty five miles north of Santa Barbara, in the Santa Ynez Valley, where he promptly set about planning and establishing Fess Parker's Winery and Vineyard. Together, as a family, the PArker's have received numerous awards for producing some of the region's finest wines. in 1993 their Shiraz was even lauded as being in the top 5 in the world. Producing a number of different varieties, including: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Zinfandel and Viognier, the vineyards of Fess Parker have comparatively cool growing conditions with lots of long persistent sunshine. This means that all the wines share great fruit flavours that are backed up by a wonderful fresh acidity. Places are limited and must be reserved in advance. On the 20th November we will be sampling a few wines in which to welcome in the festive season. There will be some classic combinations to try for the Christmas mea, such as red and white burgundy along with some Champagne, but also one or two more varied options. We will be addressing Christmas gift ideas with this being the subsequent week before December. Why not join us on the 20th and have all your gifts and Christmas wines sorted in the one evening.

Each voucher is valid for 12 months.
